Effective Date: January 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how EzTable ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you install or use the EzTable: Product Table Builder app (the "App") in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. Information We Collect

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account. We collect this information to provide the App's core services, including building product comparison tables, syncing product data, and integrating with your storefront.

A. Information from Your Shopify Store (Merchant Information)

We collect the following information about you and your store:

Store Information:

  • Shop name, shop domain (.myshopify.com URL), and primary email address
  • Store address, phone number, and contact information
  • Store timezone, currency, and locale settings
  • Store plan and subscription information

Billing Information:

  • We process subscription charges through Shopify's Billing API
  • We do not store your credit card or bank details directly; these are handled entirely by Shopify
  • We store subscription status, billing intervals, and plan information to manage your App subscription

App Installation Data:

  • Installation date and status
  • App subscription details and billing information
  • Usage records for billing purposes

B. Data Accessed via API Scopes

To function correctly, the App accesses the following data based on the permissions you grant during installation:

  • Products (read_products):
Product titles, descriptions, images, variants, prices, and metadata
Purpose: To automatically populate comparison tables with accurate, real-time product data so you do not have to enter it manually
  • Files (read_files):
Images and media stored in your Shopify Files area
Purpose: To allow you to select and display product images or custom icons within your comparison tables
  • Themes (read_themes, write_themes):
Your store's active theme and theme files
Purpose: To install App Blocks (Theme App Extensions) that allow you to drag and drop tables onto your storefront pages via the Shopify Theme Editor
  • Content (read_content, write_content):
Store content, including pages and blog posts
Purpose: To ensure tables render correctly on your specific pages and to write table data to app-owned metafields for performance optimization
  • Online Store Pages (read_online_store_pages):
Information about your online store pages
Purpose: To understand your store structure and ensure proper table placement
  • Product Listings (read_product_listings, unauthenticated_read_product_listings):
    Public product listing information
Purpose: To display product information to storefront visitors through our public API
  • Unauthenticated Content (unauthenticated_read_content):
Public store content accessible without authentication
Purpose: To serve comparison table data to your storefront visitors through our public API endpoint

C. Comparison Table Data

We store the following data related to your comparison tables:

  • Table configurations and styling options
  • Product associations (which products are included in each table)
  • Custom feature data, descriptions, and specifications you enter
  • Template types and display preferences

D. Device and Technical Information

When you use the App, we may collect technical information about your device and browser, such as:

  • IP address
  • Time zone
  • Browser type and version
  • Device information
  • Usage logs and error reports

This information is used for debugging, ensuring the security of the App, and improving service quality.

E. Information from Storefront Visitors

Important: Our App does not directly collect personal information from your storefront visitors. The App displays product comparison tables on your storefront, but we do not track, store, or process visitor personal data such as names, email addresses, or browsing behavior.

When visitors view comparison tables on your storefront:

  • The App loads product data through a public API endpoint
  • No cookies are set by our App
  • No analytics or tracking is performed on visitor behavior
  • Visitor IP addresses may be logged in standard web server logs for security purposes only

Third-Party Scripts: The App loads the Iconify icon library (from code.iconify.design) on pages where comparison tables are displayed. This third-party service may collect technical information according to their own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Iconify's privacy practices if you have concerns.
